NUTR 510 Nutrition Policy

Working as a team, me and four other students researched previous legislation arguing against warning label language on SSB. We also found alternative, easier to understand labeling language which targets at risk populations

Swanson Lab Paper Presentation 

In fall of 2022, I collaborated with my lab mate to understand and present a recently published review paper by Sorensen et al., 2022, summarizing the use of Exopolysaccharides as a functional food ingredient. 

NUTR 510 Research Ethics 

In the fall of 2021, I learned in detail about the history of ethics in research. As a project, we each chose a recent breach of ethics to discuss with the class. I covered a recent issue between two professors, cherry picked data, and the origins of hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19.
